Meta data deletion instructions

You can disconnect Facebook from LeadTruffle at any time. You can also request deletion of the Facebook Lead Ads and Messenger data associated with your LeadTruffle account.

Disconnect Facebook from LeadTruffle

  1. Sign in to LeadTruffle.
  2. Open Lead Capture, select Meta, and choose the Setup tab.
  3. Select Disconnect Meta and confirm the action.

Disconnecting stops new Facebook Lead Ads and Messenger processing, disables the connected Page agents, attempts to remove Page webhook subscriptions, and removes the stored Meta access credentials from the active connection. Disconnecting alone does not necessarily delete records that LeadTruffle must retain under the Business User's account settings, contract, or applicable law.

Request deletion of Meta data

To request deletion, email [email protected] from an address associated with your LeadTruffle account. Use the subject Meta data deletion request and include:

  • Your LeadTruffle business name
  • The name or URL of the connected Facebook Page
  • The name and email address of the LeadTruffle account administrator

Do not send access tokens, passwords, or copies of private customer conversations by email. We may ask for additional information through a secure channel to verify that the requester is authorized to act for the LeadTruffle account.

What the deletion process covers

Once a valid request is matched to a LeadTruffle Meta connection, we:

  • Invalidate and remove stored Meta access credentials
  • Disable connected Facebook Pages and Messenger agents
  • Remove or anonymize Meta lead inquiries, raw provider payloads, attribution data, Messenger conversations, messages, Page-scoped customer identifiers, and Page identity
  • Anonymize and soft-delete a contact when every inquiry associated with that contact came from Meta
  • Preserve a contact shared with another lead source while removing or anonymizing its Meta-specific inquiry and conversation data

We retain only limited, non-content lifecycle information needed to record the request and its completion, plus information that we are legally required to retain.

Requests sent by Meta

When Meta sends LeadTruffle a valid signed data-deletion request, our system processes the request against the matching connection and returns a confirmation code and status URL to Meta. The status URL does not expose the person's Facebook identifier or conversation content.
